Macaroni and Cheese

Okay, so it's not exactly a super healthy recipe, but it is really delicious and pretty easy. Everything in moderation, right?

Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:
1 pound of pasta (try elbows, small shells, or even rotini)
1 Stick of Butter
3 Tablespoons Flour
1 1/2 cup Milk
1 pound of cheese (shredded) - Cheddar, Colby Jack and a few slices of American adds a nice flavor.

Optional Topping:
Crushed Ritz Crackers

  • In a large saucepan, cook pasta following directions on package. Drain pasta, return to saucepan, and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, over medium heat melt butter .
  • Sprinkle and whisk in flour until it's dissolved.
  • Slowly stir in milk.
  • Once the milk becomes hot, gradually stir in shredded cheese.
  • Stir until totally the cheese is melted and the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Stir cheese sauce into pasta.
Optional: To BAKE: Pour macaroni and cheese into a baking dish. Sprinkle top with cracker crumbs. Cover and back at 325 degrees until bubbly. Remove cover for a few minutes to toast the crumbs if you wish.

TIP: When reheating, stir in a splash of milk to make it creamier.

ENJOY!

Pentecost celebration!

Come to either our 8am or 9:30am worship service this Sunday, May 31st! It's Penetcost this Sunday... the birthday of the church, and a time to celebrate all the ways in which God HAS blessed us, IS blessing us, and WILL bless us. So, please, come join the celebration!
In Aldrich Hall both BETWEEN the two services, AND immediately after the 9:30 service, we're having:
1.) A delicious POTLUCK BREAKFAST BUFFET -- bring something to share if you can, and if you can't -- don't let that keep you away! Remember what Jesus did with the loaves & the fishies? Well, I don't remember any time anyone has gone away from Trinity hungry!
2.) An awesome MINISTRIES FAIR! Come check it out... tables all around the hall, with people representing every ACTIVE ministry at Trinity right now & in the next year! There will be people at each table willing to provide you with more information, answer your questions, or promise to investigate the information you seek...
It's going to be a big giant GOOD TIME!!!
Alleluia!
Pam+
